Colonial Secretary, which I have anticipated by recommendation

of the lower salary of £1350. I have also considered it

justifiable to recognise the responsibilities of the post of

First Police Magistrate by provision of a super scale salary

of £1350 per annum with free quarters. When Mr. Schofield

retires the question of the retention of this appointment in

the cadre of the Cadet Service or, alternatively, its transfer

to that of the Colonial Legal Service will need to be

3.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your most obedient, humble servant,

A Caldecot

Governor, &c.
